Higher lung cancer rates: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, especially in remote areas, are disproportionately affected by lung cancer.
Culturally safe program: The NLCSP is being designed with NACCHO to ensure it’s accessible and culturally appropriate. This includes creating materials in suitable languages, supporting community-led activities, and involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in advisory committees.
